Mud Dauber by Sparkytron Mud Dauber by Sparkytron
Made for the 2013 MocAthalon in the category "It creepses and crawlses"

Choose any type of creepy crawly (insect/spider/centipede) and build it out of bricks! The more colourful and detailed it is, the better! You can build it a backdrop if you like but this one will be all about the bug.

*Link for the MOCpages entry will be added when the uploader is fixed*

So, SO very biologically accurate! I love how you gave each leg the individual "toes" or grasping-tips like on a REAL arthropod! Even the mandibles are finely made!!!

Indeed. It's not as bad as a hobo spider bite, though.

Really great color distribution here. And I love how you didn't go with something totally obvious for the eyes, yet you did with the wings. That works brilliantly in my opinion. Though I think you failed this category. Its not creepy enough to be a creepy crawly, its too adorable for that. :meow:

Holy crap... I had a few of those things slip inside my house this past summer. Drove everyone mad. Beautifully done though, love the parts usage and the look.
